Top 10 FAQs

You’ve asked and we’ve answered.
Here are the answers to our most Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).

#1: Do you have any jobs for interns or new college grads (NCG)?
We begin recruiting for many of our open new college graduate (NCG) and Co-op/intern positions in September, but positions also become available throughout the year. In September we will target students scheduled to graduate in December through August of the following year for NCG positions. Students graduating later than August of the following year will be considered for Co-op positions.

#2: I'm graduating soon. Does TI have any full-time openings for me?
First, be sure to complete our survey at http://unleashti.com/survey.htm so we can notify you about future events and potential opportunities. Open positions are posted at http://focus.ti.com/careers/docs/sectioncontent.tsp?sectionId=153. Things can change quickly. If you don’t see a position that is a good match for your background, we still encourage you to register and submit your resume at http://focus.ti.com/careers/docs/sectioncontent.tsp?sectionId=153. Our recruiters regularly search the resume database and will contact you if there is a match.

#3: How can I apply for a job at TI?
Go to http://focus.ti.com/careers/docs/sectioncontent.tsp?sectionId=153 and submit your resume or apply for an open position. Our recruiters regularly search the resume database and will contact you if there is a match. We also encourage you to complete our survey at http://unleashti.com/survey.htm so we can notify you about future events and potential opportunities.

#4: I've submitted my resume to TI several times, but haven’t heard back. How can I connect with someone?
Unfortunately, we are able to hire only a percentage of the many candidates who submit resumes each year. It’s possible your background is a strong fit for TI, but a position that matches your background is not open at this time. There is a chance that a position may open and TI will contact you later. It’s also possible you were not selected as the best candidate for a certain position. Be sure to complete our survey at http://unleashti.com/survey.htm so we can notify you about future events and opportunities.

#5: When will TI visit my campus?
We plan to visit some campuses each semester, but an exact schedule has not been finalized. We will also use technology to connect with students.

#6: I had an interview with a TI hiring manager at my campus, but never heard back from anyone. What should I do?
If it has been a few months since your interview, it’s likely you weren’t selected for that particular job. The good news is sometimes the reason you weren’t contacted is because someone had other positions in mind and they are waiting to see if the opportunity becomes available. Since TI is a large company, you may not be selected for one position but could be a fit for another. We recommend you complete our survey at http://unleashti.com/survey.htm so we can notify you when a TI rep connects to your campus or an opportunity becomes available for students with your major.

#7: How does the resume process work at a big company like TI? I’m afraid mine will get lost in your system.
Rest assured we have a reliable system in place for processing resumes and your information will not get lost. Your contact information and the details about your educational background are stored in our database and accessed through searches. Recruiters and hiring managers from TI sites across the country access this data on a regular basis. If you are selected in a search, a recruiter will contact you by phone or email. To provide us with the best information, we recommend you submit your resume at http://focus.ti.com/careers/docs/sectioncontent.tsp?sectionId=153 and complete our survey at http://unleashti.com/survey.htm.

#8: What are the chances that an internship will lead to a full-time position at TI after graduation?
Typically, co-ops who perform well convert to regular TI employees. As you may expect, we make no promises but work hard to create a
co-op experience that prepares co-ops to take on full-time TI positions.
